I knew I wanted to coach very early into my CrossFit journey which has been almost 2 years. Helping people in some form has always been a passion of mine and that’s one of the main reasons I became a nurse. When I started my current nursing job one of my coworkers, who quickly became a best friend, guided me gently towards CrossFit. Having never done any organized fitness before, I was intrigued. I remember that first workout with him in the back of the gym very well and I was immediately hooked.
Since starting, I have lost 70 lbs and I’m stronger than I have ever been. Helping people achieve their goals and get better like I did is what drives me to be the best coach possible.
My favorite movements are deadlifts, cleans, and push press, so DT is one of my favorite WODs.
When I’m not at the gym or my big boy job, I’m with my wife of 13 years and 2 boys as they are my everything. We are a Disney family now and head down there pretty frequently.
Something that most people don’t know about me is that I’m an avid LEGO builder. I have over 30 completed sets on display. It helps me meditate and clear my head as I hyper focus on what I’m doing.
